Title says it all. I'm playing on my homemade stratocaster that has a Fender 98 body, a mighty mite neck with ebony fretboard and HUGE HUGE HUGE frets. The tailpiece is a gotoh and very nice...currently set up as a fixed bridge. The nut is graphite, tuners are grover rotomatics.I built the guitar to play big strings and have big bends. The guitar pulls it off pretty easily. The pickups are kinman blues and they're unbelievable. The amp is a THD Univalve. A great amp, IMO. The pedals used here are Fulltone's Full Drive 2 and ElectroHarmonic's Holy Grail Plus reverb pedal.Oh, and the speakers are Ted Weber California 12's in a custom cab. Don't know why I forgot them, I guess speakers are always over looked, though they should not be.Let me know what you think.

Dec 3, 2008 - not sure what tubes I had in there for this video...I've been trying all different variations/combinations. My favorite is a KT88 power amp tube, and 12AT drive, 12Ax for the other. I just got new speakers in the mail today for the cab, more appropriate size..the speakers in the video are meant for a twin reverb.

Dec 3, 2008 - Hiya, what gauge of strings are you using?
gruveb Says:
Dec 3, 2008 - The strings are GHS Eric Johnson mediums, 11's to 54's. I liked this strings but have moved on to better strings, Rotosound. They're awesome.

Dec 3, 2008 - So, basically, you made a long video of you playing basically the same setting through the same setting. How about some riffs using the bridge or neck? Maybe the in-betweens? Not to rain on your parade, but you should show all the dimensions you can if you're going to make a six+ minute demo video. The setup really sounds nice, which is the point of having it, but for a demo, show us what all it's capable of. Peace. Keep rockin. You're good at it.

Dec 3, 2008 - Hey, What do you think of the THD UniValve? Worth the money? Got any opinions on it?

Dec 3, 2008 - I love the Univalve...Especially when you consider that the changing of tubes for different tones and then you can also get different speaker cabinets, you can really get a wide variety of sounds.

Dec 3, 2008 - how loud is the univalve? would it work in band practice with a loud drummer? im too concerned about gigs because it would be mic'ed though.
