The Power Jam 2008 Grand Finals took place on 29th July at Zouk, Singapore. Five finalists had to each perform an original song and a cover. King Kong Jane chose to present their original composition "Lollipop" followed by this cover of Rihanna's "Umbrella", and took home the Champion trophy and awards. Power Jam 2008 was Singapore's Ultimate Band Competition, as organised by Power 98 FM. The event was hosted by Morning Jam hosts Shareen Wong, Hossan Leong and Joe Augustin. The five top bands performed in the following order: Soul Excess, Madhatter, Page, Aurigami & King Kong Jane. Power Jam alumnus, and many Singapore's favourite bands such as Electrico, Plain Sunset and West Grand Boulevard also performed as part of Singapore Music Awards 2008. King Kong Jane consists of Jianping (drums), Ian (guitar), Colin (vocals), Ark (guitar) and Renquan (bass).
