Shoot for 1-2 minutes.Another thing is that in professional work, like TV shots only tend to last a few second, even if it's just different angles of the same shot, because people can't keep their attention and interest long enough. Cutting to the audio is also awesome.I learnt all this stuff doing video editing as college, but you don't have to take my word for it.

Dec 5, 2008 - Thanks for the advice Ali ^_^I build myself on 'going with the flow' even when writing a novella i never have a very sterdy construct, i just plan as i'm going on, i know its a silly thing to do, but i can't do it any other way :PBut thanks, i'l give it a shot on my next one!

Dec 5, 2008 - I do that too. I do advise planning, but it's not advice I take myself. I've only made a small handful of videos and none of them have been planned. Still, I realise they could be better with at least a little planning.

Dec 5, 2008 - Nicely constructed. I think your films would improve from some more planning, if only in your head. Try to have a theme emerge, even if it isn't clear at first. The clips feel a bit too random.
