Minerva is an optional boss in mission 9-6-6. She is THE hardest boos in the game, but if you have the right materia and stats, she is pretty much easy in the sense that all you do is hit X repetitively. By the way, YES, i did skip most of the Limit Breaks to save video time and size, except for one Judgement Arrow, because Minerva is special ;D.My Materia Setup (In Order):1. Costly Punch HP +999%Deals 9999 or 99999 damage according to your HP + damage cap. Will do NO damage if your HP is in the "BREAK" status. +999% hp is used so i can deal 99999 with CP.2. Electrocute VIT +100Calls down lightning to attack random spots on battlefield. More VIT to max my four main stats and reduce damage against Minerva's Physical attacks.3. Ultima MAG+ 100.A spell that attacks all monsters on battlefield. Damage proportional to master level. I had MAG +100 so i could max the four main stats.4. Wall SPR +100This materia is crutial for surviving Minerva's devastating attacks. Reduces damage from both Physical and Magic damage. SPR +100 gives me m5. Curaga HP +999%Regenerated a LOT of HP. Purpose for HP +999% is self explanatory.6. SP Master ATK +100Increases impact of attack and Physical + Magical Defense by expending SP. This materia is used to furthur decrease the damage done by Minerva's attack. Aww my SP!!Accessory Setup (In Order): 1. Genji Armour.Sets HP limit at 99999, and adds Endure and Regen effects. This is needed if you actually want to survive ONE attack from Minerva. If you don't have Genji Armour, get 100% on your DMW, or use an ADAMAN BANGLE.2. Genji Glove.Sets damage limit at 99999 and makes all attacks critical. I only used this so then i break the amount of HP my Curaga could heal. When i think about it..its kinda useless. If you don't have the Genji Glove, it can be found at mission 9-6-4 in a treasure chest, or use Brutal.3. Genji Helm.Stops expending MP and AP, and adds the Libra effect. I thought this was particularly important because it lets you use spell for free, which was needed for my Curaga and Wall materia. If you don't have the Genji Helm, you can buy it for 1 MIL at the shop called Net Shop Shade. Note, it can only be bought once, unless you have heaps of money. 4. Ziedrich.Halfs all elemental attacks recieved. +100 to all stats besides LCK. VERY crucial in surviving Minerva's attacks. Also helps to max stats. Jul 25, 2008 - hm... costly punch..umm i think you can fuse it by fusing any punch materia (magical punch for example) with a dmw materia and hey presto! costly punch

Aug 6, 2008 - @ Shietai: keep on playing the game and dont worrie. dont do the storyline often, just concentrate on getting through all the missions you can. and btw, electrocute is in a treasue chest in one of the missions in 9-X-X

Aug 30, 2008 - ahh yes... ultima can have stats my fusing it with a dmw materia with stats and a stat adding item in materia fusion. for example, if you want ultima to have +hp 999%, simple fuse it with rush assault +100 VIt and a fat chocobo feather. the dmw materia with stats are earned in missions
