Poll: Obama Leading In Red State Of Montana - July 3, 2008, 9:12AMWow. A new Rasmussen poll shows that Barack Obama is ahead in Montana, a state that voted for President Bush by a 59%-39% margin in 2004. It's a further sign of just how much the electoral map may be expanding this year. The numbers: Obama 48%, McCain 43%, with a ±4.5% margin of error. Back in April, Rasmussen put McCain ahead by an identical 48%-43% margin.Democrats can be very successful at the state level here -- they have the governorship and both Senate seats -- but the presidential vote has historically been much tougher to crack. The state has voted Democratic only twice in the last 50 years: The Lyndon Johnson landslide of 1964, and Bill Clinton narrowly winning its three electoral votes in 1992.Barack Obama leading in Montana: Should we be that surprised? I never bought into the MSM cynical notion of red state and blue state: we are the United States of America. And as long as Barack Obama has the message, resources and support he can compete anywhere. Bill Clinton won Montana in 92', Barack Obama is going win Montana in 08.'

Jul 4, 2008 - Why do people say McCain is a war hero? He got shot down, was captured and while a POW he renounced his country. There were plenty of POWs that went through the same thing but had the balls not to renounce their country. He is weak in character and would be a weak President!

Jul 29, 2008 - What a scary video. No, sorry, Obama is not winning in Montana. That's just laughable.

Aug 9, 2008 - You do realize that it doesn't matter who leads at halftime or in the 3rd/4th quarter or whatever; all that matters is who comes out on top at the end. Even in 1984, Mondull was still very much in the hunt when Ronaldus Magnus struggled a bit in the first debate, but he bounced right back in the second one and finished with a 49 state victory. I have no doubt that when the debates and such are all done, & B.O.'s lack of qualifications shows, he will be lucky to get even 100 electoral votes.
