This is where it all begins. The first mission in the campaign is something of a cakewalk. If you can't complete it while simultaneously drinking a cup of tea, then you might as well call it day now, because it gets a lot harder than this very quickly. At the beginning of the campaign, the most important thing is arguably character selection - you have to pick four from the twelve team members available to go after the nukes and fight their way to Graveyard's central Space Port. My squad of choice is CIM (Combat Infantry Mechanoid), CIM-Lite, Bonden, and Kiurcher. At least one of the droids is a must. Firstly, the robots obviously can't drown, and on several occasions you will need to traverse underwater sections. Secondly, some of the bio-engineered hostiles you shall face will poison the humans if they get close enough, so it's advisable to have either CIM or CIM-Lite with you to do the fighting in these instances. The four characters I've chosen also have the highest "physique" ratings. This means they can withstand the most damage. Against the tougher adversaries, this is the difference between being able to survive a few hits and dying instantly. Perhaps more crucially, they are also able to carry more, and if you are intent on completing the campaign, the more you can equip your team with the better. CIM can lug about 44kg around with him before the weight starts to become a problem - more than twice the amount some of the humans can cope with. Obviously, no one in this squad of heavies can survive a long fall due to their poor "agility" stats, but I find this is worth the trade off. If you must have some eye-candy in your team, Cheule Siygess is a good choice, as she, like Bonden, starts with a grenade launcher.
