Thanks to the war on drugs small towns with barely any violent crime are getting swat teams, sniper rifles, and armored vehicles. The war on drugs is financially beneficial for police to give them piles of new toys and power. The government has everything to benefit from the war on drugs which has failed miserably. The USA leads the world in drug consumption and prison population. The so called drug problem has gotten worse sense the war on drugs was officially coined. Anytime the government declares a war they get more powerful, while the average citizens loses money and privileges.Interesting comments. The wheel in the cage represents politics and voting. You think you are getting somewhere, but in reality you are not moving and nothing changes, you are still in the cage. Plato's Allegory of the Cave was pointed out and it is significant to this analogy if you go and read it. Someone was reminded of a Tolstoy poem about the mouse in the well. If he comes out he is kill by the hawk if he lets go of the root he is holding on to he will fall to his death. So he does nothing and starves to death. I guess we should all climb up at the same time and kick the hawk's ass. It was pointed out our cage is not made of glass, but of thoughts and weapons, which I view as harder to break out of. Here is a good one too. Like if there were a group of mice escaping a cage, they wouldn't confer with each other on how to do it or what to do afterwards. They'd just do it, and do what they do afterwards. The beauty of living in the wild is you don't/cant plan, what happens. That to me is most of its appeal. The problem is that the cage is so all encompassing and we've been in this cage for far too long. And because it's so universal, we need so many people to help break the cage. Someone said beliefs are useless, as THEY inhibit us from EVER being ONE in action, that statement is pretty accurate. You can believe anything you want, but the cage still exists. Then there is just leaving the country, but that just means transferring to a different cage while it may be more comfortable it does not solve the problem. Someone though missed the point of the video and came along to try and convince me statist run socialism is the answer because it is freer. You can get paid to not work, get paid to start a business, and protest against your slave masters more freely. Yay you can steal from everyone else to not work and to start a business without any hard work. You can protest against people who have no right to have authority over you to begin with. You just have to pay heavily in taxes to government and become completely reliant on them to live. Then he tries to tell me USA is not socialist. Let us see we have welfare, food stamps, tariffs, subsidies, grants, no bid contracts, high taxation, corporate welfare, bailouts, partially socialized health care, social services, public schools, piles of government agencies, government regulation of the economy, a central bank, hell even income tax is from the communist manifesto. In the end I actually have no major issues with socialists until they use the government to force me to fund and back their system. Any system that uses violence to make you partake in it is totalitarian. In reality you have no rights only privileges under government. It is time to become human beings and not isms or ists etc. We are citizens of earth. Let us just be human beings and work together to establish our rights to rule our individual lives.
