Dec 3, 2008 - Totally understand the anger with your hubby there. My mum had to have a colonoscopy earlier this year and a gastroscopy the same day and they didn't give her any sedation. She said it was terrible (she's 75). So I assume the IV was for sedation and I'm glad to hear it's standard there. Yep doctors do appear to me to be clueless about how we feel and it's so frustrating... Big hugs for getting through it - Maxi
