At Harmony Explosion Camp this past weekend Rachel sang this on the talent show. Then she was selected to sing on the Sat. night show! This morning I told her that three of the "Most Happy Fellows" barbershop quartet members were sitting in the front row. Most barbershoppers know that they are well known for their amazing set of "The Wizard of Oz" Their arrangement of "Somewhere..." is most barbershoppers' favorite "Somewhere.." arrangement. The Haps were very moved by Rachel's sincere performance. By the way, when I suggested this song for her to sing, I hadn't even thought that far ahead to realize it was such a precious song to the Haps. We probably would NOT have done it. But for some reason that song came to my mind first when she asked me what she should sing. After I saw them THEN I realized why that song came to my head! I love it when that kind of thing happens...no coincidences, right? Please look at the "Most Happy Fellows" website. An amazing International Champion quartet(1977). They are still such talented and inspiring men, who have warmed the hearts of people around the planet for over 30 years. Thank you, Most Happy Fellows!!

Dec 3, 2008 - Your grandpa was in the front row with the other two Haps. They all seemed to be touched by her interpretation. It is "their" song. :) One more connection, you know Haps bari Jack? He just coached Beginner's Luck a few weeks ago to help prepare them for Boise! They placed 7th!! That is the lucky number for the Haps! Also my chorus, the Harmony Kings, placed 7th!And guess what- my birthday is 7-7! This is NOT a coincidence! Have a fantastic Sunday! I need to get ready for church- very HAPPILY!
